Games I have backed on Crowd Funding sites

I would like to do a semi-regular update on this but, here is a list of all the games I have backed on Kickstarter or Gamefound and why I am excited for them:

1) Resident Evil 3 The Board Game - I backed this in July 2020 as I thought the Res Evil 2 board game looked really cool and I love the Resident Evil video games, especially Res Evil 1 to 3. So, this game really appeals to me. I have gone for the All-In pledge which includes - The Board Game (with exclusive art), all stretch goals, City of Ruin expansion, Retro pack, Dice pack, Raccoon City Kickstarter Tiles, Terrain Pack and Monster Box. It looks really thematic and fun so this was my first Kickstarter project that I backed.

2) Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising - I saw this game whilst I was doing a little prototyping work on a tower defense board game that I was messing around with and so I bought Castle Panic and this on Gamefound. It seems interesting, reviewers say its fun and there are loads of cool minis. I do not own the other Kingdom Rush game though so I am hoping that it is a good system. I have ordered the Elemenace Hoard Pledge which comes in a big box with Gametrayz trays/holders and it contains the base game, Dark Elf Slayer, Gnomish Gnonsense and the More than Shadows Expansion.

3) Dinosaur World - I only just managed to get in on this one as I missed the main campaign but, was able to late pledge on the last day it was open. I pretty much backed this based on how much I love Dinosaur Island (click for my review), a game that gets better and better the more I play it. I went for the All-In pledge as I like having everything and a small issue I had with Dinosaur Island was that I wanted more variety in the Dinosaurs. This pledge comes with the base game, 3 expansions (Hybrid, Water and Ice Age Packs) and all stretch goals. This game looks really interesting as it is similar to Dinosaur Island but, it's own beast (see what I did there haha). The main reason is that I am excited is to drive my Jeeple (yup Jeep Meeples) around my park - it sounds like an amazing time is heading my way!

4) Tiny Epic Dungeons looks to be a really interesting game. It's cheap, comes in a small box but, Tiny Epic Games (by Gamelyn Games) have become well know for making small box games that contain much bigger experiences than you expect. I watched a few reviews on this and thought the game looked really interesting and most importantly a lot of fun. This is clear to see in the pre-view video by Quackalope on Youtube (link if you want it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KF64JBehko&ab_channel=Quackalope). The game requires you to play tiles face down, battle enemies, find the boss & defeat it and collect new weapons/armour all whilst racing against the timer that is your limited amount of burn time left on your torch. Seems really exciting and the set building with armour/weapons looks like great fun too. Cant wait for this one to arrive.

5) Radlands is a card game based in a dystopian future. The gameplay seems fun, strategic but easy to learn. It is from Roxley Games and created by Daniel Piechnick who is well know for being an external developer for Magic the Gathering. This game differs in that it won't be a collectible game and all cards that come in the box will be all that you will ever need. It was pretty cheap and the Deluxe version I have ordered comes with all the cards, resource pieces and 2 neoprene play matts. Looking forward to trying this one after how much I have fallen in love with Marvel Champions. Oh, and the art is phenomenal I love the way this game looks!!

6) Robinson Crusoe - Endless Adventures Pledge. I went for this level as I have wanted to buy Robinson Crusoe for a while but, have not been able to. So, I wanted to get everything in one go. The pledge I've ordered includes Robinson Crusoe: Collectors Edition, The Book of Adventures, Mystery Tales, Treasure Chest and all stretch goals. There are still stretch goals being unlocked for this game every day so there will be more things coming in the post than I have currently listed. I think this game looks amazing, I love pirate games and all reviews are excellent so I feel confident that I will love this one.

I am sure there will be more of these to come but, for now I have got to take a little break from spending money on crowd funding as we need to buy a new house. (e.g. Sentinels of the Multiverse Definitive Edition as below which, I am trying to convince my fiancé or my mum to pay for as a birthday present because we are saving for a house. Wish me luck haha)

I will do reviews for all of these when they arrive. What games have you pre-ordered? And what upcoming games are you super excited for?
